Florian is working as software developer and CMS project lead for Synyx GmbH & Co. KG in Karlsruhe, Germany. He's working with OpenCms since 2004 and has worked on several OpenCms projects over the years. Though also being acquainted with commercial Java Content Managment Systems he always returns to OpenCms.

Mainly focused on Open Source technologies, Synyx tries to contribute back as much as possible. They are serving the largest web forum on OpenCms at http://www.opencms-forum.de where Florian regularly tries to help people. He is committer of several modules and extensions, e.g. of Netbeans and Maven plugins for easing development.

  • OpenCms 18 available

    Oct 8, 2024 - OpenCms 18 adds a new "Place element" mode in the page editor that allows precise element placement as an alternative to drag & drop. Reused content is now clearly marked. Automatic typographical correction of quotation marks has been added to all of the editors. “Dead links” in content that is entered in a WYSIWYG editor are now automatically disabled. Our Mercury template includes several new features, such as setting different image formats for mobile and desktop and many more.
