Who should use this OpenCms 16 distribution download?

Use this download to install the new version 16 of OpenCms from scratch. OpenCms 16 is backward compatible with all 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10.5 and 10 versions. Templates and other OpenCms developed code from these versions should work mostly "out of the box" with version 16.

If you want to upgrade an existing OpenCms 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10.5, or 10 version, please use the OpenCms 16 upgrade Wizard download also available from this website.

Please note: The *.jar files in this binary distribution have been compiled for Java 8.
